Wound Up!

Oh, my God. Logan was so wired today. I swear I am going to have to start locking up all the food. I had to put the bread up the other day because I swear he would have eaten the whole loaf. Every time I turned around today he was bringing me an empty bowl. Always wanting something else to eat!! I had to put the apples up today out of his reach. He had two I think and wanted more. I try to limit the amount of fruit he has each day. Too much is not good for any yeast that may still be in stomach. Some of it is gone but there is probably more that should come out. We will find out at the end of October if we have to go back to the ant-fungal medicine. It made the yeast come out, that's for sure!!! For his birthday Logan got some stacking blocks. Yes, they are not what a typical five year old would get. I do not have a typical five year old so I have to make adjustments. They nest inside of each other and have pictures on all sides. One side has numbers 1-10 and another has the letters of the alphabet. Logan loves to stack them up. He was being so loud (anyone who has heard him in church knows this) tonight I tried to do something to quiet him down. So I sat on the floor with him and he stacked his blocks. We went to the number side and I started counting. Next thing I know he is taking his finger and pointing to the numbers as I say them. You have no idea how cool this is for me. He does not point to things he wants, ever!!!!! Usually he will fling his hand in the direction of something but not point to it. Then we went to the letter side. Again, he was putting his finger on each individual letter. I don't know how many times I said the letters over and over. Then I tried the sounds of the letters. I got a sound from him!!Yeh for Logan. Unless your child is non-verbal, you cannot understand how important that is. I made the B sound and he said it right after me while he was looking at the letter. Some of the letters he would turn his head and stare at my mouth as I was making the sound. Buddy, when I have attention like that from him I have to run with it. I don't know when I will get it again. He is still signing "more drink" for me also. I think my husband is jealous because he did it for me first. Huh, that's why I am the momma!!!!! Had to get that one in. God bless to all.
