Dentist Appt.

I was somewhat surprised Monday. I had to take both of the boys to the dentist. Logan has gotten better over the last several times. He let the girl polish his teeth, although he kept wanting to reach up to feel the vibration. It was funny. He even let her floss but when the dentist came to take her look he was done. He rolled to his side and would hardly open his mouth! Now picking Logan up from school, not a pleasant experience. He has a heart defect and anytime he has dental stuff done he has to take an antibiotic an hour before. I got him a little earlier so we could get that out of the way. I could hear him screaming before he got halfway down the hall, oh he was mad! When he got closer to the front, he kept slumping to the ground. He was thrown out of his routine of getting on the bus. He calmed down and was fine until I went to pick Zach up at school. Again, getting out of the routine. I pulled up in front of Zach's school and he went ape shit. He started screaming , crying, and kicking at the seat in front of him. Then Zach gets in and he gets hit and pulled on by Logan. We take off and Zach says, "Momma, he's hurting my ears. He won't stop screaming!" Well, you know it hurt my ears too but there is nothing I can do about it. I literally cannot do anything to get him to stop. No amount of comforting or getting on to him will do any good. It's like letting him scream and cry it out is the only outlet he has. What's even harder is when he does that and I have no idea why. At least this time I knew why. I am the one upset today. I have checked the site where his video is posted. I know there have been at least 15 people that have viewed it. However, the numbers aren't changing. It will show you how many people have viewed the video. Logan's view number has not changed in at least 4 days. So that has me wondering, do the views not reflected still count toward Autism Speaks? I am going to see what I can find out today. Wish me luck. God bless to all.

Ok, I'm right with your son on this one. It takes way too long to get your teeth cleaned. Who wants to open their mouth wide again for the dentist? Really, our mouth muscles are tired enough after the cleaning!

Seriously, I'm keeping you all in my prayers. Autism is tough to deal with -- just take one day at a time.
