Well, here is a picture of the haircut Logan finally got. He kind of had the alfalfa going on over on the side. At least he doesn't look like a hippie anymore! We did get some good news the other day. We talked to his doctor in Indianapolis the other day about the results of his yeast test. Many kids with autism have a build up of yeast in their stomachs. For the longest time, Logan looked like the pictures you see on tv. He had a belly that looked almost bloated. Well, apparently that was because he had a yeast buildup in his stomach. This buildup may be responsible for some of the behaviors you see with autism. There are many times they looked "spaced out" or have a blank stare. Well, we had his yeast level checked in the summer. There was one yeast metabolite that concerned the doctor greatly. Initially, Logan's was 946 and after being on an anti-fungal for three months dropped to 104. I thought, "That's great looks like it worked." Then she tells me that number is supposed to be less than 47. Oh crap! Still not as good as it should be. So guess who does another round of anti-fungals? Hopefully, this next round will drop it where it should be. Today we went to a park so my sister-in-law could take pictures of Tom, the boys, and myself. We didn't do all we wanted because there was a mix-up with cameras. We are going back another Sunday to finish. But let me tell you Logan is going to be harder to get than any of us. She got a couple of cute ones today. However, he is harder to position than your typical kid. With him you have to get a shot whenever you think you might have a chance! I think it will be fun. Wish us luck. God bless to all.
