What a bunch of hams! This was taken this past Monday at Zach's Fall Festival. I told the lady that took the picture with Logan you have to be fast or else it isn't going to happen! I was kind of worried about taking him because I was afraid it would be major sensory overload. But he did really well. Tom kept an eye on him while I took Zach to play games. I said I would so he could play games. He said I was the one that always did that with Zach so go ahead. Ok, the next time he gripes about me not giving him a chance to do something like that I will remind him of this. Logan didn't have a meltdown or anything, so that is good. I was kind of surprised because there were a lot of people there. Tom said something the other day about taking them to the circus. I just don't know how Logan would react. I told Tom that and he got all pissy. He said he did not want Logan to miss out on things because of autism. I understand that completely because I don't either. I want him to be able to do the same things all the other kids do. But sometimes that is an unrealistic expectation in children with autism. It breaks my heart that he does not or cannot do the things "typical" five year olds can. But for some reason, this is the hand God dealt me. I just have to do the best I can for him. And under the so cool category, I am hearing something that is awful close to sounding like "Mama". He is also saying something that sounds like the word "cool". He ended up climbing in bed with me at three something this morning and falling back asleep. It was funny because my hubby woke up from the couch and came to bed. With Logan laying beside me there wasn't enough room for him. He laughed and said, "He took my spot!" So he ended up coming back out to the couch to sleep! I thought it was funny as heck! Such little stinkers I have. God bless and take care.
