Starting soon..hopefully
Anyone who does not have a child with sensory issues should be so happy! This past Thursday Logan had speech therapy. I knew it wasn't a good sign when he comes out in an office chair, the ones that roll, because he refused to walk out. Him and the therapist come out to the lobby so she can tell me how he did. The building his therapy takes place in is connected to three or four other buildings. There is a set of double doors in the lobby that takes you to the hallway. He never bothers those doors. The therapist made the comment to not let him get through those doors or else I would have to chase him. No sooner than she said it did he go to the wall and push the button. The doors fly open and Logan hauls butt up the hallway. So here I haul my big butt up the hallway after him. I told Zach to stay in the lobby but he doesn't listen and I have him trailing me! I catch Logan at the top of the hall. I get him to the lobby and the battle ensues. I try to get his coat on. He was so pissed off!!!!!! He throws himself on the ground and starts kicking and screaming. I am on the ground trying to get an arm in the coat. The speech therapist is on the other side trying to get the other arm in. He is rolling around on the ground crying and sweating. I locked my legs around and that nothing but get me a headbutt to the mouth! By the time arms are in Logan and I both are sweating. I have to pack him out because he refuses to walk out! Friday we had to go back for his occupational therapy evaluation. That went better. She tested him a little and gave us a questionnaire to fill out. A sensory profile to be exact. Boy, will this seal the deal. All those little quirks of his should be somewhere on this paper! I have until Thurday to fill it out. I decided to enlist my hubby's help on this one. Hopefully, it will just be a couple more weeks. I would love for some of the sensory issues to ease up, that would be heaven in my book. Wish us luck! God bless to all.
