On the Mend..hopefully

Well, today was not really a great day for either of my boys. Logan was still coughing this morning so instead of church we went to get him checked out. Surprise, it was a upper respritory infection. Hopefully, the antibiotic will kick in soon and he will stop coughing. He was also running a fever this morning but I think it is gone. Thank goodness my hubby went with me this morning to help handle Logan. I was afraid that he would have to wear a mask because of his cough. I was right and he was pissed about having to wear it. He screamed and cried almost the whole time we were in the waiting area. Believe me, he was not quiet either. Some people in there probably thought we were bad parents because we were just letting him fuss. Nobody said anything but I am sure there were some that were thinking that. There was one lady who was very nice and came over and talked to Logan. She rubbed him on the head and told him he could sit with her and they could be miserable together. It was kind of funny. We managed to get back to a room so he could get checked out. We explained to the nurse that he had autism and didn't wait well or like the face masks. She said they have some other kids with special circumstances. Next time she said to call ahead and they could probably have a room set aside for us to wait in rather than wait in the lobby. I thought that was nice. Of course, that is probably for the benefit of the others in the waiting area also. However, I dare anyone to ever say anything to me. Bless his heart, Zach didn't have a good day either. He threw up some more today but took a good long nap. He actually managed to keep some real food down. Tonight has ok, so I think he will be good for school tomorrow. He must have had some kind of stomach bug or something. Keeping my fingers crossed that they are both good tomorrow! God bless to all.
