Snow Day..ugh!

I got to sleep in a little this morning because the boys had a snow day today. However, they had a dentist appointment this afternoon. I had already had to cancel one appointment because Logan had gotten pink eye. Well, the dentist office called this morning and wanted to know if I could go ahead and come in. They had gotten a lot of cancellations today due to the weather. I myself was tempted to reschedule again. I really didn't want to get out in the snow. But I did it anyway which may have been a good thing. Besides, Logan had his antibiotic so I was commited to taking them. He didn't do as well this time as he did last time. I have no idea what the difference was which is one of the most frustrating things about autism. It can be so unpredictable!! They tried to polish his teeth but he wasn't having any of that. He wanted to feel the vibration of the polisher on his finger but not in his mouth. They let that go and next the dentist wanted to take a look. Needless to say, it took the dentist, an assistant, and me to hold him so she could look. Thankfully, they looked ok. He is such a strong little fart! It is so hard sometimes when you feel like you have no control over your child's behavior. That is how I felt today, I felt helpless. It seems like with autism so much of the time you just have to go with the flow. Some days that is much harder than others, believe me! I am keeping my fingers crossed that they go tomorrow. However, it is not looking too good. God bless to all.
