Yeh Logan!!!

Ok, so this morning was not good. Leaving to go to school was another crazy ordeal today just like Wednesday. I know Zach was trying to help me but it just didn't work out that way. However, my hunny and I had a child free lunch at Red Lobster. It was so good! Then this afternoon we had a parent-teacher confrence with Logan's teacher. She had Logan make a book but the catch is that he had to put the sentences together. She gave him the words that had been cut out and he was supposed to make the sentence. He not only made the sentences by himself but he then proceeded to read the sentences he made. She said he is having some trouble with telling time so she has to find another method. He has also gone into a regular first grade room a couple of times. They took him in there at first when no one was in there. That way he could check everything out. He has a chart he takes with him into that room. He knows that when the 5th task in completed he gets to check out the gerbils in the classroom. Apparently he really likes the gerbils so they are using that as a reward. She also told us something else interesting. She said she had always been taught that kids with autism and other disabilities take words and learn the word as a whole. Logan, however, actually sounds out words. Apparently, this is an unusual ability. His teacher and the two aides he has are amazing! I only hope they are there as long as he is. Logan is truly an amazing, loving, and wonderful little boy. I can't imagine my life without him. God bless to all.
