Frieking Out!!!!
Well, Spring Break is over and the kids are back in school. Thank God, I spent almost the whole week playing referee between the boys. Now we have another challenge Logan has thrown down for us. Seems like there is always some kind of challenge. The weather has been so nice lately that we have been opening windows and grilled out the last two weekends. Well, Logan has caught on to the fact that when the windows are not locked he can open them. For him and us this is so not a good thing!! I went into his room yesterday morning at 6:15 to get him up for school. What did I see?? I saw him playing with his trains in the windowsill. He had the window open all the way and playing in it. Needless to say, he was not very happy with me when I closed the window. Last night things got even worse. The boys had already eaten supper and were playing before their baths. I had windows open in the house including the kitchen window. I was sitting at the kitchen table eating my supper and I heard something outside the kitchen window. I heard someone counting to three. I shook my head because I really wasn't sure I heard it. Then I hear it again. My first thought was, "Shit, Logan is in the front yard!!" For a typical six year old this might not be a big deal. Logan is a whole different story. I ran out the door and there he was barefooted and walking through my flower bed in front of the house. No one was outside with him! I had no idea he was out there, my only saving grace is that he was singing. He had climbed out the window and walked up the side of the house to the front yard. This is so scary because if Logan had seen something and went to chase it he would have barreled across the street. The thing is he does not get the concept of danger, he does not understand he may get hit by a car. My heard was in my throat and I was almost scared to go to bed last night. So now, we have to work on this problem so that Logan will stay safe. Wish us lots of luck!!! God bless to all.
